Anyone fractured / broke their fibula ? How on earth did you cope with the moon boot !?
I fell on Sunday morning and it hurt instantly but continued my walk to aldi and back because I really wanted to get bits for a last minute roast 🫣😂
Obviously Sunday night - Monday morning the bruising was really bad and my ankle looked like I had really heavy water retention so I called gp to ask for stronger painkillers but the receptionist called back to say gp won’t see me I need to go along to a&e .
So off I walk to a&e with my 3y old thinking it’s only a sprain to then getting and X-ray and then a bloody moon boot 😫
I’m stuck in this thing for 6 weeks and I’m already over it ! I’ve told to rest but we all know that’s not possible with a sen seeking 3y old & don’t really have anyone I trust wholeheartedly to look after my 3y old either .

I broke mine and my tibula. A week in hospital, operation then sent home the next day with crutches and I have a 2 year old at home. This was august still hobbling about. It’s extremely tough but you’ll get there

Oh hello 👋🏼 in January I broke my tibia and fibula and had to have surgery with a rod pins and screws to repair it! It was not good 😂 tips for the moon boot, walk heel to toe - it’s designed that was as that is how we are supposed to walk but we don’t, take a bit of getting used to. I took it off when I wasn’t walking and just raised my leg on a cushion with ice packs to reduce the swelling!

Thanks ladies 🖤
