Wasn’t sure if it was necessary to get it. I’m allergic to certain vaccines and read about terrible reactions to the Tdap. Any other opinions or moms who got it?

Had it with my last pregnancy. No issues. Getting it again today.
I felt like I was forced to get it instead of opting not too. It’s not mandatory is it?

I got it and had no issues besides sore arm for a short bit. I am also scheduled for the new RSV vaccine which also protects baby. I mentioned to my mother that you’re not “supposed” to let people kiss your newborn baby and she freaked out, so it will be good to have an extra layer of protection since I know I won’t be able to stop her from kissing my baby!

I am allergic to the Tdap vaccine (anaphylaxis as a baby) and my doctor suggested just having close family and my husband get the vaccine.

I had the shot in my last pregnancy and didn’t notice any negative side effects at all. I’m not getting it this pregnancy though just because I don’t feel like it’s necessary 😅

It’s not required, so it’s up to you with what you feel comfortable doing.
Thank you I feel like I should’ve said no. But they really seemed like I didn’t have a choice to get it or not. I’m pretty upset about it
Yes I got it already I wanted to push it for another appointment to think about it but she just kinda said that it’s best to get it over with now
Yes I get the importance of it but it still didn’t give me the option to say yes or no.. thanks everyone for your response

I got mine today. Very mild shot sight tenderness but no side effects. I also got it with my first baby 2 years ago. They asked me if I wanted it and I said do I need it after just having it? And they said yes it’s recommended but it’s up to you. That simple 🤷🏼♀️

TDAP is partially a shot to stop the spread of whooping cough. By not getting it you are putting everyone else at risk too. We live in an advanced society and have eradicated certain diseases (polio, for example) due to vaccines. Polio has come back bc people aren’t getting vaccinated. It’s your personal journey but…..highly irresponsible IMO.

I gotcmine last week Monday I had soreness around injection site for 4 days and my arm hurt bad but that was it. Got it with my flu shot and the tdap had more pain than the flu for sure but manageable.
