There are so many options, I’m confused

I have a bugaboo donkey mono and an avionaut pixel pro 2.0 car seat. Generally the car seats that come in bundles or as part of a travel system are quite poor quality seats (such as cossato, silver cross, ickle bubba, etc) so that's something to be aware of

I didn’t know that. So it’s better to buy them separately? How do you manage transferring baby from car to stroller especially when they’re sleeping?

generally yes. Sometimes the bundles u get will include a seat such as cybex or maxicosi and they are ok seats (although often don't get the best fits for smaller newborns). I believe the best seats on the market ATM are the avionaut pixel pro or Cosmo or the britax babysafe core.
There are other longer lasting ones suck as the axkid ONE+2 and the besafe stretch but they come with a very hefty price tag x

belted seats are actually no less secure than isofix and often actually get a much better fit, especially for newborn's as isofix tend to sit seats more upright which is a chin to chest risk for babies risking asphyxiation.
The avionaut pixel pro however can be fitted with an isofix base which is what I will be doing as long as it does not put baby in a risky position breathing wise as lots of isofix do, I will use belted if the safer option obviously.
The avionaut pixel pro is literally the safest seat on the market at this time, it can't be beaten.
Ickle bubba seats are known for their poor fit for newborn's along with the other brands I mentioned above and isn't that highly recommended amongst car seat safety experts. (Continued in next comment)

All infant carriers undergo the same safety tests, unfortunately there isn't much additional testing such as the swedish plus test unless you go for something like the axkid ONE+2 or the besafe stretch, however some seats and brands of seats do their own independent testing and are much more highly regarded amongst car seat safety professionals due to the fit they offer newborn's, as a poor fit can seriously compromise babies safety.
Ickle bubba only test to the very bare minimum uk standards which is actually a very low bar in terms of how they perform. I believe it's tested to a combined speed of 30mph, so each car travelling at 15mph, basically car park speeds which is very unrealistic in terms of an actual accident.

I love the red kite black and rose gold travel system. I get so many complements on it, it’s withstood a lot of different lands and it pushes so well! Not to mention the basket is big! I got it on Argos for only £350! If it wasn’t for the fact that I have another baby coming that’s only 10 months younger than my first, I wouldn’t be getting a new one!

it doesn't have a lack of isofix fitting, it has both options.
I hope not either, I hope that it helps parents to make informed decisions based on factual information I have provided. I had no idea about car seat safety until I did extensive research whilst pregnant with my 1st child. Working in early year childcare it's a real passion of mine & I spend lots of my personal time researching & educating myself on current safety standards & like to pass that information on to parents who may have been like I was a few years ago & not had a clue.
I actually plan to train as a car seat safety expert once this baby is here and move into that field of work as the safety standards and standards of many seats that are sold in this country is terrifying and I think the more people that know the best options to keep their babies and children safe the better.
Everything in my previous comment is factual information that I hope will help other parents make great informed decisions about their children's safety x

I’ve just bought the Oyster3 but I have upgraded the car seat, maxi cross 360

I just looked up these brands and none of them seem to be available in Canada 😞

oh that's frustrating! I'll be totally honest I have zero idea about car seat law or availability in Canada. I can direct you to a great car seat advice group though where trained car seat professionals should be able to point you in the direction of great car seat available in your country? Hopefully your car seat laws are far superior to ours haha. My fiance is desperate to move to Canada, maybe their car seat safety could persuade me 🤣 x

Haha! I do hope the laws here are great too. Here’s what I found for car seat safety advice group, check it out and let me know your thoughts, if it’s convincing enough for you 😃:

haha thanks I'll check it out tomorrow!
This is the cat seat group I was saying about, pop a post on there with your location and what your looking for and I'm sure you will get some great advice! x

Awesome! Thank you

I actually don't think there was anything wrong with my delivery, it was factual and informative, it's that simple.
You are free to make whatever decision you like obviously, I was simply correcting the misinformation you had posted regarding it being 'more securely fitted into my car via isofix, as opposed to just using the seat belt' which is factually incorrect and could make parents believe their baby is safer in an isofix seat when this is incorrect and actually more likely to be the opposite for newborns. I hope that's ok? Enjoy your evening 😊

I went for an oyster 3 . I was focused on how easy it is to navigate, all terrain, and if the carry cot was overnight sleep safe . I didn’t buy the car seat though, opted for a maxi cosi car seat

Evenflo Pivot Xpand Modular travel system! This is our first baby so just in case we have another soon after, it can hold 2 kids

UppaBaby Vista V2 stroller!
Can pair with UppaBaby Mesa car seat or many other car seats (with adapters)

Definitely the Uppababy travel system. It’s ridiculously expensive, but in my experience so entirely with it!
