Thought it was a phase but throwing food is still an everyday occurrence, LB is 14m.
I'm trying to "gentle parent" but my partner wants to tell him no and take food away and not give him anything else.

I just ignore it, I just pick it up off the floor and throw it away with no reaction. The bigger the reaction the more fun the game.
He doesn’t really throw food anymore as he doesn’t get the reaction he only does it when he’s had enough.
If he did throw it all on the floor without eating any I would offer something else though.
thanks, I do usually ignore and pick up but partner flipped tonight. He does it with any food, start during and end. Hoping he grows out of it soon . I did offer something else. Thanks for responding x

From what I’ve read it’s a normal part of development when starting solids, part of exploring with it so he should grow out of it eventually. It’s just frustrating when we make food and it just goes on the floor 🤦🏼♀️
I had read similar but we've had this for 6 months 🙈 def frustrating although much to the pooches delight

My son started doing this months ago now but has stopped on the whole now. We would react saying uh oh or no or ah ah but once we stopped acknowledging it all together he's given up. We don't even pick up until he's out of his high chair. Stick with it, don't deny food as they can't understand consequences at this age x
