My almost 5 year old son will refuse to leave places when it is time to go home. This could be the park or a friend/relatives house. He will get aggressive and start hitting me and refusing to get in his car seat.
I have given 5-10 minute reminders before leaving a place, explained acceptable behavior when it’s time to leave, be stern that it’s time to go, given consequences for acting out, try to distract onto something else, but it’s still a struggle every time it’s time to go.
I have a baby so it’s hard to handle them both when he gets out of hand. This behavior has gotten worse with the baby so I think it is related.
Any tips on how we can avoid a struggle every time we have to leave? It really makes me not want to take him anywhere.

definitely go see your doctor as soon as you can (don’t worry about finding childcare if you can’t, just bring the baby along, doctors love it lol) and tell them exactly how you are feeling. Take care of yourself girl 💕

thank you so much, I went to the doctor and found out I'm pregnant. The heartburn has been extreme to where I'm crying 😭 alot, what can I do to make things easier ?

Make it a race. Say "I'm gonna beat you to the car... Ready, set, go" then race.
