Pregnant again?

Hi ladies, we welcomed our baby boy in July. I am exclusively breastfeeding, my period has not returned and we are not using contraception because we’d like to have another baby fairly soon after our son. Is anyone in this group pregnant again? If you are pregnant, how far along are you? I’m testing in the morning!

I never got my period during breastfeeding, that is over 2.5 years now over three kids.

Ours were born 20 months and 23 months apart. It's awesome they are so close, but so many things in your body need to heal that you don't realize from the outside, I honestly wouldn't recommend closer (if you test negative).

how long would you recommend waiting? I am turning 39 in Jan and we tried for a year before we conceived our son so we’d like to get a move on. My OB said I just needed to make sure my c-section scar is reliable.

Your OB knows best, so follow whatever advice they give! I also had a C-section and my doctor said earliest to start trying was 9 months, better would be a year. I had no complications, very fit and was in my mid 30s. He also stressed to me that there is no cliff when it comes to age, the risks just go up a little each year and that risk is very low if you already had recently a healthy pregnancy. Good luck! Having multiple kids is the best once they start to interact

Dummy

My baby has had a dummy since about 2 weeks old (now 5 months) and over the course of the last month we weaned her off it during the day only for naps and night (which was fine) and then 5 days took it completely away during the day.

The first day no dummy was fine, the second bit rougher. But now it feels impossible she just moans and cries all the time it takes ages for her to go down to sleep (she’s always been an amazing sleeper)

I thought it was meant to get better as time went on not worse. I’m at my wits end I dunno what to do.

Currently typing this as she screams uncontrollably in the car and I cry with her cos I can’t do anything.

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

Is this normal?

My 12m old is really funny with kids going near him, he’s always been this way, but anytime family’s kids sit next to him or head his way he moans or cries and moves away. He also really observes them and is never really relaxed, always looking over his shoulder. Has anyone experienced this? (He’s starting nursery properly tomorrow so hoping this helps) but is this normal?

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Naps for 4 month old

I am curious to know how many naps your 4 month olds are having during the day? Mine still naps 4-5 times a day as he is waking between 5:30-6am and bedtime is between 7-7:30pm. Most naps last 30-40 mins unless 1 long contact nap so I feel like I can’t drop a nap yet as his wake windows are only around 1.5 hours if we make it there!! I’m just concerned as I feel like he should be only 3-4 naps but that seems impossible without him becoming extremely overtired …?
