Hi guys. I have a 5 month old and we converted his cot into a side car, attached to our bed. At the moment we will go to bed together around 10pm. From 8-10pm our wee one is usually sleeping on one of us in a carrier and then he lies down properly when I go to bed. I’m starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with this now because I don’t have absolutely any time to breathe by myself before I do the whole night shift after the whole day shift. As much as I adore my wee one I just need a breather to catch up on things. Just wondering if those who bed share pop their wee ones down in bed and then leave with a monitor until you join them later? How did this go for you and how did you make the bed safe since your body isn’t there to block them rolling out one way? Many thanks in advance

Hello!
Yes that’s what I do.
Put him down in bed and then go and spend some time with hubby for like 1 hour or 2 hours before he wakes up again looking for us.
But it does help to breathe and do some stuff around the house freely.
Although I have to tell you in the beginning I was sleeping with him, for like 3-4 months.
I started putting him down to sleep and I join him after 4 months.
