How long?

How long after losing your mucus plug until labour started?
I know it can be hours to days, everyone is different. But interested to see how long it took everyone!
Lost mine this morning.

I feel like I'm going crazy now - I've got my induction Monday I can't wait x

With my first 24 hours before contractions started. 72 hours from loosing the plug I was considered in active labour but it dragged on and was extremely painful (far more painful than my second) My baby was back to back. I ended up with an emergency c-section.

Second baby I lost my mucus at about 9am and my baby was born 1:51am via VBAC next morning. Contractions were getting extremely painful at 11pm.

@Olivia how many weeks are you? I'm going crazy with it all, in so much pain. Baby is big and I'm having a c-section. Consultant is refusing to do it till nearly 40 weeks, even though I have GD, strep b and very low platelets 🤦‍♀️ risking going into labour which apparently we should avoid. No sense to any of it!

Avatar

noooo I feel the exact same! Baby is also big we measured 8lb 7 on the 27th of December. I'm going to be 39 weeks on Monday - I also have strep b and a misshaped womb. I'm surprised they aren't doing it earlier how many weeks are you now? If you go in for reduced movements they tend to bring everything forward x

@Olivia I will be 37 weeks on Sunday. My midwife and hospital manager are pushing for week 38, but the consultant is a stubborn a##hole who does not care!
Wow, have you got a date for anything yet?

@Olivia ahh just remdmbered that you have the induction on Monday. Hope the baby did not put that much weight on in the last week then 🤞 good luck for Monday

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!

Invited to a chuckie cheese party but I don't have money and don't want to tell my daughter that's why we can't go. Does anyone know how their parties work?

I'm not sure how chuckie cheese parties are. If they give you money to play or not if you're in the party. And then I'm wondering if it's an actual birthday party or if they're just going to chuckie cheese. Some guy in my building told me a couple weeks ago that his son's birthday is today and he's thinking of doing chuckie cheese. They sent an invite but I feel so insecure not being able to afford anything. Like if they don't have food for example. Idk what to do.
