I know this may seem like a silly question but how often do you declutter toys? My LO goes nursery full time from 8.30-5.30 so she only really plays with her toys weekends but that’s depending on if we have plans and go out and around her swimming lessons and baby dance class.
I’m quite a roofless person and will happily get shot of clutter but at the same time I feel guilty getting rid of something that’s not mine. I do try to rotate toys at the weekends.
TIA x

I keep the ones my toddlers play with a lot and rotate between the bedroom and play room so always something different and they don’t get bored, any we want to get rid / de clutter we tend to try and leave for abit to see if much interest and if not we either sell on and put the money into their own savings so they still have the money and I don’t feel so guilty

We’ve now got rid of the baby toys!!

We’re in the same boat! He’s never here to play with them. He’s got a toy kitchen and there’s a few other toys that he got at Christmas time so I store them in the toy kitchen cupboards. Before Christmas I binned everything lol 🙈 because he doesn’t play with it. He’s got stuff up in his room so some things I have left out and other toys that he’s not opened yet I have stored in an ottoman. Every month I will do a big clear out and bin things then. The stuff he’s got sitting out just now will probably go at the end of feb and we will get his new things out. The nursery is quite good and they will tell me what he’s into so I just get him similar stuff for when he is here then when he moves onto new stuff in nursery that’s when I update. Don’t feel guilty, she wont miss it lol xx

I get rid of anything that’s not played with unless a younger sibling can use it x

Decluttering happens constantly here! If it's not clothes, it's toys - there's always something. I make sure everything finds a good home so nothing ever goes to waste - it's cleaned up and either sold or given to charity or given away on a free page (or give to fabric recycling banks if it's ripped or badly stained clothes).
With toys, it would include anything we have duplicates of (some family go mad with gifts at Christmas etc), or things that annoy us (e.g. a shape sorter that won't stay closed when inserting shapes, or a very noisy toy with no off button), things that they're too old for now (this is my last baby), or things they just have zero interest in, and are unlikely to in future.
I just always have a place to put stuff that we need to get rid of so every couple of weeks it can all be dealt with. This pile also includes my own clothes and unwanted gifts and things!
Also same as above, if I sell things then I also add money to their bank accounts.
