My almost 3m seems to be showing sleep regression signs, so I don't spend the rest of my life whispering 'a nice sleepy sleep' to my child who inevitably wakes up 10 minutes later... š please could I have peoples successful tips for teaching self soothing.. Which aren't crying it out though please.

My almost 3 month is going through the same š¢. Following for tips too

Night sleep or day naps?

both š¤¦āāļø

Co-sleeping during regressions is the only thing thatās worked for us. It worked for 4,8 & month regressions and our LO has gone back to her routine of sleeping in her cot after each regression. Usually she comes into our bed around 3am & will sleep until 7am without any more wake ups.
For daytime, I would be in the same room (on our bed) while she slept in her cot (next to me cot) that seemed to help & use a plug in white noise machine instead of those which turn off after 30 mins x

Only thing that worked for me was making a routine, the earlier the better to be honest. Doesnāt have to be strict just a general sequence (bath, book or singing, bottle, cuddles and bed) it helped my sanity too as things werenāt so much up in the air š ask for help as and when you need it if you can, keep them stimulated inbetween naps so they tire easier and learn the feeling of needing rest, thatās all I can offer from my own experience I pretty much winged it the entire time ššxx

I cannot stress enough on a routine. Stick to it as much as you can and just ride it out. It doesnt last long! You got this!

Thank you all š

My baby went through that when she learned how to roll over, she kept rolling over in her sleep and I would wake her up while rolling her back over. The only thing thatās helped is letting her sleep on her belly in her bassinet with no blankets/pillows/etc

My baby started the 4 month sleep regression at 3.5 months. It didnāt end until we did gentle sleep training at 6 months (I was so tired it hurt). We let her cry and fuss for no more than 5 minutes each time and she figured it out after night 1. She now falls asleep on her own and she gets herself back to sleep if she wakes in the middle of the night. Unless sheās hungry (sheāll cry for me if sheās hungry and I always nurse her). I was so against sleep training but there are gentle methods and I donāt regret it one bit.
