My little boy is 8 weeks now and has been bottle fed on Kendamil since birth. Lately he’s been very unsettled during feeds, taking a small amount then pulling away crying and arching his back but then still seems to be hungry so does the whole process again. He’s very good at getting his wind up but does struggle to pass gas often bringing his legs up which I’ve noticed he does most during his feed around 4am! We’ve tried Infacol and are now using Colief.
Im really debating if changing his formula is the way forward as I’ve been reading posts saying it’s quite a rich milk. Has anyone experienced similar and if so which formula did you change too?
Thanks x

I was the same when he was little but he just grew out of it. If he is gaining weight and ok I wouldn’t change tbh

Have you tried going up a teat size? He might be frustrated that the slow of milk is too slow

First born was the same at that age, I switched to kendamil goat she got way better but still used infacol and colief with it till about 5/6 months

yeah he’s on size 1 teats, sometimes I can hear it hitting his belly so I don’t think I’d want to go up any higher just yet as he might guzzle it?

I’ve got Kendamil comfort but haven’t tried it yet! Did you use the infacol and colief together?

We changed to kendamil organic and my LO is much more settled during feeds

I’m having the same issue! X

I had this with my lg, she was on sma since birth but then a few weeks after she was getting constipated and struggling with gas, we tried everything recommended and then decided to change formula as last resort, shes now on hipp 1 organic and loves it! She is getting better with her poop but she's on a laxative as well

I did not use Kendamil however I did switch my baby’s milk when he was 3 weeks because he was having really bad trapped wind & pains, I switched from cow&gate onto Hipp organic as I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, also use colief in every single bottle and have done from 4 weeks+ and I’ve seen a significant change in him bringing up & passing wind

yeah I used it together but if I was only going to do one I would go with colief… I haven’t heard of Kendamil comfort, the reason I switched to goat is because it has less lactose and the protein in it is more similar to human breast milk compared to cow so it’s easier to digest, my little one had the same as what you’re describing and the health visitor said she had silent reflux x
