For the past week+ my 2 month old has been taking cat naps lasting about 20-40 mins at a time. She must be held during her naps and will wake up crying. She will be almost inconsolable and will fight going back to sleep, but is clearly still very tired. I rock her, bounce, walk, try to give her a paci, or offer my nipple, and none of it will work. I end up playing with her to keep her from fussing for 30-60 mins and then have to hold her to sleep and start the process all over again until her next feed 🥴
Is this typical 2 month behavior?
She’s getting plenty of play time in before her naps and is well fed so I’m kinda at a loss.

When our boy turned two months, his naps also became unpredictable. We swaddle him at night, so if he is fighting the naps too hard, I have started swaddling him during the day to help him out. I know this is only a temporary solution, but it is helping him have longer naps for now

I am a first time mom, my baby has been doing thr same thing. He also is 2 months. This has been going on for about a week

I wish she liked to be swaddled. She hates having her arms confined so we tried arms out and just wrapping around her torso, but it hasn’t done much 😕

I’m glad to know I’m not alone 😅 but I’m sorry you’re also going through this! Same with you it’s so hard when you’re doing all the things and yet nothing is working 🥲

Just keep in mind that this is a season and it will pass!! I know it is hard right now but it won’t last forever.

Welp her week of cat naps resulted in her sleeping almost 10 hours last night 😅 she woke up twice, but just needed to be rocked back to sleep & only fed very little one of those times

woohoooooo!!!! Enjoy that sleep mama!
