I’m due back in May as I agreed with them I would take the whole year but today I’ve been to 2 part time job interviews as before I left for Mat leave my work made it very clear they would not accept me coming back part time 😒 I’m excited to start something different but it will be a drop in wages for me, anyone else doing the same ? ☺️

Yep, I'm hopefully going back to the same company but part time in a different department. If they don't have anything open when I go back, I'll just leave because my last role was 50 hours a week, so there's no chance I'm doing that with a baby. Crossing my fingers for 2 days a week.

Yes im hopefully changing jobs too as my work wants me in 5 days a week but not going to happen! Looking for a hybrid/remote role xx

I’m not going back to work until my son is 3… I’m still on mat leave but everyone knew I wasn’t planning on returning, plus I’m expecting again and they defo won’t put me on mat leave again

oh wow that’s allot of hours a week ! I hope you get your 2 days ☺️ x

that’s the same with my job, working from home would be great, I’m not sure what your liking for but Bupa are hiring for customer service reps that’s remote ☺️ x

yeah I think everyone isn’t expecting me back lol! they deffo can’t deny you mat leave again, might be worth looking at if you can take the second mat leave earlier so it works out you don’t have to go back at all after the first ones finished, I think you can take it from 26 weeks xx

Yep I was made redundant when my LO was three months. I’m going to extend Mat leave and aim to start a new job in September rather than May. There’s no way I’ll earn as much as I did previously but my job was very demanding and I’m hoping to find something with better hours and less pressure. Feel excited and scared at the same time!

if you’d been at your job at least 6 months I think they legally have to allow you to go on MAT leave again.
I fell pregnant with my May 2023 baby when I already had a 3 month old so I’ve been on continuous MAT leave for almost 2 years 😅. Definitely look into it if you haven’t already quit,At least for the extra MAT pay . X

Yep, I'm changing jobs to fit more around my life with a baby. Taking over a 20K pay cut and let me tell you it's painful 🤣

it’s like a new chapter isn’t it ?! good luck with your search/new job 😊 x

the pay cut does hurt lol, but I think so worth it if it makes your life easier and fits around your baby ☺️

yes 100% my previous job was 50+ hours a week and 2.5 hour travel every day.
Now I've found a job where I can actually take my LG
