Just here to vent! So I am from Asia living Abroad as I am joining back work my husband called my in laws to “help-out” while we wait for day care waitlist clearance. TBH I could have extended my leaves or got childminder but it is a cultural thing and they wanted to see the baby! Anyway they’re here now and I am feeling overwhelmed, more tasks more food more advices on how to do it right. I am
Trying to be polite but me and my husband have been managing everything alone for last 6 months and it has been so brilliant. The baby doesn’t love her so mych, won’t taje bottle from her or go to nap on her shoulder for example and it seems she is putting that anger on me via giving me cold treatment.while I am cooking their fav meals, trying to pamper her and make them feel at home. They are eating relaxing and playing with baby as per their connivence at all “paid” trip. My husbandsays ignore it all as they are here only for some more weeks but I am exhausted and irritated. Any tips girls!!?l am I overreacting??
Note me and husband are from different cultures so this is really first time I am spending such a long time with them and my family is very different and more easy to communicate than theirs.

Could it be a clash of cultures?
When you say ‘cold treatment’, what are they doing?
I hate unsolicited advice too and would probably tell them, thank you but it’s not necessary or depending on what they say, correct it (if it’s out of date info). It really depends on a lot of factors but mothers and MIL’s can be a lot.
Carry on doing what you’re doing. Sounds like you’re smashing it 😊
