Hi girlies - just wanted to say anyone else that has a foley balloon induction coming up, there’s a lot of scary things out there saying how painful the insertion is - this is not my experience at all! The cervix check they do prior is uncomfortable and there’s pressure, but not painful. They then opened up down there using a speculum and inserted the tube (I was only 1cm dilated) i barely felt this, to the point midwife said I’m now going to insert the liquid I said wait what, it’s in?! And she said yup all sorted. Appreciate everyone’s pain threshold is different, but honestly I was quite nervous after reading a lot of other peoples experiences and just wanted to pop this on here to share my positive experience of having it fitted.
Now just a waiting game - fingers crossed it works 🤞🏼

All the best mama x

Thanks for sharing this! I love hearing about positive experiences!
Good luck, you’ll smash it!

no worries at all, more often than not all you hear or read are the bad experiences, I would have loved to have read this prior to going into this. So thought I’d share my experience so hopefully it can give others peace of mind ☺️
One step closer to meeting baba 🤞🏼 xx

thank you 🥰

I only had one sweep, but chose to have induction today starting with the balloon first, and slowly increase to hormones if needed (hopefully not)
I personally asked a million questions on the process / being talked through what they were doing not only did it give me peace of mind but also a distraction ☺️
You’ve got this! One step closer to meeting the baby 🤞🏼💪🏻👶🏼

Update… balloon has just fallen out after 9 hours with it in!! 🙌🏼

I’m sure it will!! 🤞🏼

did the ballon work for you? And did you have to go on to the drip after? X
