I’m so thankful to be out of the sleep regression (touch wood) my boy has gone from being on my boob every hour of the night to now doing 6+ hour stretches and we’ve found a routine that seems to work but think in the long run we’re going to need to change things.
Currently he goes down anytime between 7pm and 8:30pm, he has a feed/bottle in our room in the dark with white noise and majority of the time falls asleep while I’m burping him or rocking him.
I’ve read on the blissful baby expert now is the time to implement babies settling themselves off to sleep. It recommends feeding baby a little earlier with the light on and then putting them down while obviously awake to get themselves to sleep. I want my boy to be able to nod off on his own but not sure how to make this transition. Can anyone give any tips how they’ve done this?
We’ve got him to doze off once on his own for a nap but took a long time of lying next to him and shushing him.

Following!

Following. We have exactly the same routine so curious to see how to make that change

I could have written this myself! Apart from the part when you say your out of the regression 😂🤞🏼 following for advice x

Following too as well e currently feed to sleep! Cannot wait to be out of the sleep regression 😩

Same I would love to no how. Tbh right now I just don’t have the patience for it and find it much easier to rock him to sleep. I also follow blissful baby expert but find it hard to follow her routine without him being able to self settle.

No routine really, I just try the odd days here and there when I'm too tired and put him in the bed, fed, nappy changed and in sleep sack. He would turn his head left to right (he sleeps on his tummy) and then suck on his fingers to soothe.
I leave the room but watch or mainly listen on baby monitor.
He makes some sounds and then within 7 to 10 minutes, he sleeps off.
Tri3d tonight, but he wasn't having it lol.

The regression was soul destroying 😂 but hopefully you’re all out of it soon and for us anyway his sleep has been the best it’s ever been so fingers crossed for you all!
I just know it’s going to take ages for my boy to settle on his own as he uses boob for comfort a lot! 😅

Our daughter sends herself to sleep every night in the next to me cot but has to have her dummy to do this, not sure if you can call this self soothing?!

hi Elle - did the regression just stop suddenly for u or was it a slow transition? I know all babies are different , but 5 weeks deep and can’t wait to be on the other side . Tonighg she has done her first 4 hour stretch in weeks , before that ever hour normally . Pre regression slept through like the angel she is 😆 x

I am up at 1130pm and 4am for feeds after a bed time of 7pm and he is up at 715am. 😞😞😞

hey! So the hourly wake ups stopped overnight but the progression to sleeping 6+ hours happened over the space of about a week or so 😊 x
