TY! Is this a normal thing for toddlers to not really like meat? My daughter is the same. I need to hide it in pasta sauce or bribe her with a bite for a blueberry 🤣. She is obsessed with berries.

My sons favorite meal of the day is breakfast😂 he loves oatmeal, sausage, scrambled eggs (with hot dogs is his favvv), waffles with yogurt spread on it, all the fruits, he likes to snack on cereal sometimes too, fried potatoes, hashbrowns. For lunch he likes ramen noodles lol and sometimes some chicken nuggets. He’s been really picky lately so it’s hard to get him to eat much of anything other than snacks. His favorite snacks are white cheddar cheese puffs, cheese it’s, ritz crackers, veggie straws, popables, fruits, graham crackers, animal crackers, chips lol. He only drinks water and milk!

Thanks! I feel like my little one is doing okay! In a day she will have a broccoli and cheese omelet or whole wheat waffle with peanut butter for breakfast with some berries, "snacks" on chobani yogurt, whole banana, apple sauce, trader Joe's pb puffs, cheerios, dinner often is pasta with sauce and chicken mixed in with peas. 16 oz of milk a day and water only.

my boy hates dinner. Every single thing I make is a no. No pasta, no rice, no meat, no veggies 😭 it’s a struggle right now cause he used to eat everything!

My girl is def starting to get pickier. But she literally would eat just fruit for every meal if I let her. Lol

Frequently for breakfast I give her cinnamon bread with peanut butter, and banana. If I cook I’ll scramble eggs with cheese, sausage, avocado. Lots of snacks: baby bell cheese, yogurt, all kinds of pouches (current fav is cinnamon apple sauce), chips, puffs, Annie’s grahams or cheddar bunnies, mini rice cakes (cinnamon apple), fruits, nilla wafers.
Lunch and dinner are whatever we eat. For quick meals I’ll do the gerber meals, or deli meat with cheese and crackers and a fruit or veggie.

Wtf how do yall have these adventurous eaters?! My kid won’t look at meat, eggs, or any food with sauces on them. Right now she’ll eat plain pasta and blueberries, along with her puffs and goldfish.

My daughter eats whatever the rest of us are eating.
Today it was french toast, greek yogurt, and dragonfruit for breakfast. Pumpkin seed butter toast and raspberries for lunch. Chana masala, basmati rice, and naan for dinner.
As for snacks, it's usually something like multigrain crackers, cheese sticks, fruit, yogurt, hummus, steamed vegetables...

So I don't eat breakfast, so she has either cheerios, grits, or muffins, with a banana, and some kind of berry. (She doesn't eat milk or most meat or eggs and a few other things...)

For lunch, she has an orange and a smoothie (stonyfield organic) daily. She will eat veggie nuggets (either spinach, broccoli, or Sweet potato), grilled cheese, or leftovers.

For dinner, she eats anything we eat, but her favorites are ravioli, spaghetti, stroganoff, potatoes, fish, and (not white) rice.

For snacks, we had a deer processed JUST FOR HER since the only meats she'll eat are slim jims and summer sausage and we wanted a healthier version. She enjoys 2 apple sauce packs a day (Aldi brand). She thinks animal Crackers are cookies and veggie straws are chips, so they're a treat. Of course we cannot forget the "booty" (Pirates booty).

We're using the seasonal sensible portions Puffs as a potty treat for potty training.

Veggies are usually hid into foods, apple sauces, and smoothies since she refuses to eat them.

She drinks mostly water, but while sick, we had to start using Kinderlyte.. we call it juice. We used it straight on when necessary, and now when she asks for "juice" we mix 2oz kinderlyte to 6oz water.

We do waffles/ pancakes or toast for breakfast do fruit pouches for snack or fresh fruit depending if we are on the go or not for am snack we do usually chicken or veggie mixes for lunch our son isn’t a big meal eater so we do more small portions of a well balanced diet through out the day he loves stir fries also loves cheese veggie mixes we stopped formula at 11m do to gi consult then we don’t do any dairy at all other than cheese here and there we do a daily multivitamin and lots of fruit and veggies we do orange juice every few days for breakfast for calcium and vit d

@Jessica I was seriously thinking the same thing 🤣 My daughter loves her starches 😅😅 she likes potatoes, pasta, fries, and chips anything else is trash... 😅😅

Avatar

🤣🤣🤣 Can't get my girl to eat a potato. Not even mashed! But she likes some random things lol. Like today was her first time eating celery and she was loving it 🤣

Avatar

@Kendra My daughter went through a very short faze with celery and peanut butter, and then that stopped 😅
I gave her bacon for the first time a few days ago and she grabbed my hand it spit it into my hand 😅

Avatar

🤣🤣 Mine Loves red sauce. But that's really the only "sauce" she's into. Everything else is pretty plain. But she will try anything which makes me happy.. but it doesn't all stay in her mouth lol

🤣🤣🤣 lmao

breakfast- hard boiled egg, fruit, yogurt, and an apple pack (he has pretty much the same thing every morning bc i prep it the night before and my husband gives it to him so i can do chores). he won’t eat pancakes or any kind, so i stopped wasting my time making them for him!lunch- we just do left overs from dinner the night before. it makes my life easier that way! easy go-tos or on the go lunch, we’ll do a tuna packet and fruit, or i make chai seed jam for pb&j sandwich
dinner- whatever we’re eating, my sons pretty good with meats, he loves meat loaf, ground beef, fish of any kind, pulled pork and most of the time will eat chicken. veggies are hard but he’s in a pea phase, so i just heat up some frozen peas, and then offer whatever veggie we’re eating. he loves any kind of rice and noddle. if he’s not eating much, i’ll give him some more fruit.
snacks- packs, crackers, fruit, homemade smoothies with yogurt in them for protein, or puffs/baby snacks since they aren’t messy

Avatar

we do a multivitamin in his “juice” (i mix 1oz of prune juice with 4oz of water since he has trouble with pooping and won’t drink enough plain water

Baby clothes

Just out of curiosity, why do parents love zipper onesies?

Don’t get me wrong, I tried zipper ones it’s easy to zip in and out when putting it on the first time and taking it out, but I find it difficult when changing diapers especially when baby is asleep.

I prefer those kimono style buttons where it’s easy to button or too down button with crotch snaps.

Is everyone thinking the same or different? Lol

At this point I’m not enjoying motherhood

My 22 month old is horrendous at the moment🫣 biting, hitting, pushing, pulling and shoving not only adults but children he also wants what other children have and will just snatch it away from them.

We repeat ‘nice hands’ ‘be gentle’ ‘let’s share’ etc

But how do I make him understand what he’s doing isn’t very nice? At the end of the day I feel like I’ve just been saying his name all day and nothing else.

What can I do?

Dummy

My baby has had a dummy since about 2 weeks old (now 5 months) and over the course of the last month we weaned her off it during the day only for naps and night (which was fine) and then 5 days took it completely away during the day.

The first day no dummy was fine, the second bit rougher. But now it feels impossible she just moans and cries all the time it takes ages for her to go down to sleep (she’s always been an amazing sleeper)

I thought it was meant to get better as time went on not worse. I’m at my wits end I dunno what to do.

Currently typing this as she screams uncontrollably in the car and I cry with her cos I can’t do anything.

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

Is this normal?

My 12m old is really funny with kids going near him, he’s always been this way, but anytime family’s kids sit next to him or head his way he moans or cries and moves away. He also really observes them and is never really relaxed, always looking over his shoulder. Has anyone experienced this? (He’s starting nursery properly tomorrow so hoping this helps) but is this normal?
