My husband is honestly fantastic in every way possible and has been extremely supportive every step of the way - it’s been so lovely to see!!!
However, for the past couple months he’s really not been well. He won’t tell me anything because he thinks he’s helping me and ‘not stressing me out’ but keeping quiet but I can tell me thinks something serious is going on.
He’s in a lot of pain near enough constantly and because of that he’s understandably struggling to be present and involved a lot of the time. He’s been back and forth with the GPs this whole time and as you can imagine they’re reluctant to send him for any big scans/testing. I’m pretty sure he’s going to book himself a private MRI scan which hopefully goes all smoothly and maybe it’s just been some sort of hideous viral infection that has been hanging around for months and he’ll get better with time????
It’s left me feeling scared and alone and with no one to talk to (I don’t live near my family and don’t really have friends as I’m so busy with work)
It’s not all about me I know that but at the same time selfishly I feel like it’s unfair that it isn’t all about me????
I dunno I guess it’s not a case of wanting or needing advice as there’s not much I can do - I just needed somewhere to get this off my chest as I’ve been struggling with it for a while now x

Take it easy. The both of you ! I understand him “keeping it quiet” so it doesn’t stress you. As much as you need rest and consoling maybe he needs it too. Men tend to hide the emotions due to the feeling of being the “man”. Have a talk with him and tell him how you feel, maybe this can lead to a bigger conversation and he can express himself to you also. Hopefully whatever he’s going through is not to major. If you need someone to talk to and advice, You can text me.
