Sick while pumping

Has anyone’s milk supply decreased while being sick and pumping? I started getting really dizzy while pumping and started having headaches and was feeling really ill to the point that it was hard for me to pump and my milk supply decreased that I’m having trouble getting it back up and my right nipple is so sore i have to use the manual pump so i can be careful with it. Trying to get my milk supply back up now and struggling. I tried doing formula that way i can stock back up my milk supply but my daughter is throwing up the enfamil formula and im just stressed out right now.

Ive had headaches but no decrease i pump for an hr or around 45mins… every 3/4hrs.. i mean there were times i didnt wanna pump so i waited like two more hrs… but while i was sick i stayed hydrated and everymorning i ate oatmeal w fruit… and electric pumps have settings like massages and expressions try massaging for like 10mins express 10mins (usee a heating pad and out over your boob for faster flow and comfort) and pump more than u need to cause that tricks ur body into making more milk… thats what i was told and i did it in the beginning when i was barely getting any milk and it worked!

This happened to me too 😩 I'm still struggling to get my supply back up (it's a work in progress) but Similac Alimentum was the only formula my daughter's tummy could handle. She would throw up the others, and the soy one made her poops come out like pebbles and her little booty bleed 😥

do you keep pumping even if milk stops coming out. My breasts usually empty after like 15 minutes. I'll even squeeze on them just to be sure.

yes but when i have no milk coming out i have it on lvl 1 or 2…

thank you both for the advice! I told my partner to grab similac sensitivity to try while i exclusively pump to get my supply back up. I also ate oatmeal with coconut oil to start and my thirst got back up so I’m staying hydrated as much as possible

Currently happening to me, its so frustrating and my baby has a milk allergy so i have to get nutramigen and that stuff is expensive and hard to find, i just wanna feed my baby 🥺

keep me updated and let me know if it works! Also Body armor helps…

i literally looked those up and they are so expensive! Omg! I finally found something my daughter is good with and it’s the Similac Sensitive.

Update: i got the similac sensitive formula and so far she hasn’t thrown up to it. And i exclusively did 2 days of 24hr pumping challenge and it helped boost my milk supply back up! And was nursing at the same time. Did my oatmeal with coconut oil and drank body armor and i have been feeling better so im good with supplying for now. Huge relief cause formula is my emergency kit.

thats great 😄 keep it up and by 24hrs challenge what do u mean lol & yes oatmeal and body armor works wonders!

Avatar

so the 24 hr challenge is basically checking to see how much u pump within 24hrs and put it all in a pitcher. Like i did 9pm-9pm and was pumping every 2-3hrs and putting them in a pitcher. It’s on TikTok you can see how it’s done.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
