So, me and my partner have an 8 month old baby together. He works full time and I stay at home and cook, clean and look after our baby. Recently we haven’t been getting along. I’m very sensitive at the moment and get upset easily so I do think that isn’t helping. Basically every time my boyfriend mentions something to do with our son I get so angry. For example, I do everything for our little boy and he comes in from work, our son is on our bed with pillows all around him. I went into the kitchen to make a drink (we live in a flat so all on one floor) and he goes ‘is our son okay’ I said yes why and he said well he’s on his own in there couldn’t you of got a drink when I was in there etc etc. saying ‘I wouldn’t of left him on his own for longer than a minute’ bla bla bla. Like why are you commenting on how I do things?!?! I’m at home all day with my boy, I can leave him unattended for a couple of minutes. I knew he would be okay as I had pillows all around him so I know he wouldn’t of fell off. This isn’t the first time he try’s to tell me how to do things for him. I know it sounds petty but it really gets my back up. Why does he think it’s okay to comment on how I look after our son. I’ll be washing the dishes and he will say something like ‘are you going to feed him now’ (baring in mind I had the bottle ready so I was in like 2 mins) like WTF u fucking feed him!!! He’s your son too!! Sorry I’m so angry and upset atm he just needs to back off. I know it’s his son but if you want so much input then do more for him. Really driving me crazy.

Sounds like maybe you guys need a night or two away.
I find that my husband and I get snappy with each other too after not having any time alone.

Honestly an 8 month old shouldn't be left alone on a bed so with that he is correct, but it's about how you say it. When's the last time you two had a kid free date night?

He should try to help out more especially if he sees you are trying to cope with the hassle of house and tend to baby needs that will make things easier for both of you.

Or he can go back in there with him like my partner does with baby girl until you come back . Or check on her but I get like that to sometimes if he or anyone has something to say lol idk but I also listen but then again it is how things are said as well .

your baby will be okay without you for a couple hours.
Reconnecting with your partner after having a baby is so so so important. Your baby needs two parents that are in love, not at each others throats.
Sleep deprivation, lifestyle changes, etc can create such a strain. Your baby feels that tension too. Happy parents, happy baby!

You can do date nights at home if you have no one to watch kiddo.
