Looking for Day care advice

My little girl is almost 1 and we have just put her in full time day care. This was her first week. We found a really small home day care with a lovely lady who really dotes on her, but I’ve been called twice already to come get her because she’s been crying.
When I spoke with the owner of the day care about it, she said she didn’t like hearing the baby cry so hard and was worried she would hurt herself.
My little girl is normally pretty happy but when she gets herself worked up or she is upset she does really wail / scream bloody murder. When we’ve had either of our parents babysit her (her grandparents) sometimes she will be extremely fussy but they’ve always just dealt with it and don’t seem at all perturbed.
Am I totally out to lunch to expect this day care lady to be able to handle a screaming baby? Does anyone have similar experiences and can offer advice?
I have her on a few waitlists for other day cares that are more “classic” - brick and mortar day care centres, lots of kids, etc. I’m thinking once a spot opens we should move her, but this will ultimately start the process over again of getting her used to the change and might not even resolve the issue of the me having to stop working and take time off to come get her!
Signed, confused and slightly agitated first time mum 😅

I use to work at a daycare and there was some rare cases where we would call the parents. There's alot of kids that also need care and attention and if there's a baby that is so distraught it's not good for the daycare lady, other kids or your baby. You gotta remember tho they are still humans too and if you can't handle a baby being absolutely out of their minds all day then they should be given some slack with that plus other kids. But I will say some people are not as patient as they should be and move if you think its necessary

My son cried bloody murder at the first couple in home daycares I took him too. Then I found one where he adjusted by the end of day one and was happy since. The difference was that the other places didn’t engage him, they just put him down to play and expected him to adjust to a new environment at 6 months. However, the place he adjusted to quickly, they held him until he felt safe in the new environment and by the end of the day he was a happy baby.

We first had a nanny for my son and I should have known better, first time mom, but he would cry half way through the day. It was cuz the girl was young and not soo engaging. When we moved I put him in the daycare. I should say we pay a pretty penny to be able to watch him on camera all day. So we were able to see how he was at all times. The first 2-3 days he cried ALOT. They would hug him until he calmed down and put him down but then he would cry again. By the 3rd day he stopped crying when he was there but would cry when I dropped him off. Now, a month later he gets clingy but he doesn’t cry. The people at the daycare distract him so he doesn’t see me leave. We watch him on camera the whole time and he seems to enjoy himself.

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?

People telling you your baby is hungry..

I know people don’t always mean it in a bad way and are trying to relate, but when people say my baby is hungry when chewing his hands. I feed him regularly. He eats pretty much every 2 hours. He isn’t hungry, he just loves chewing and exploring his hands. Or they say something about teething, which it is also not, as he isn’t unsettled with it. I have looked into it myself and can be common and neither of those things! He has done it most of the day since 2 months old.
