How are you transitioning your baby to whole milk if they were on hypoallergenic formula? Did they adapt okay?

If they’re on hypoallergenic formula the transition is going to suck. They leave out a lot of allergens in those specific formulas probably also adding in a ton of breakdown for better digestion. Milk has lactaid in it which a lot of people are allergic to they’ll probably have diarrhea or constipation for a while if not forever. Id choose a different option like lactaid free, goat milk, any of the oat mills, coconut etc… no soy either has a lot of hormones in it.

Ripple maybe

My little one was on nutramigen, and her transitioning was fine. She got a bit constipated but we upped her water intake and gave foods that helped her pooped and she hasn’t had an issues since we’ve done that

We know our baby had issues with dairy, so we transitioned straight to oat milk but are trying other milk products to see how she does, yogurt was fine, baked gods with milk were okay, trying cheese next and then whole milk at some point to see how she does.

I’ve been doing lactose free milk mixed with water (half and half) but he was very constipated so his pediatrician recommended ripple but it got better so we are still using the lactose free

My girl was in hypoallergenic alementin and we added an once more of whole milk to each formula bottle every few days. We transitioned slowly to look out for side effects. She’s now 100% on whole milk, no issues. This was all with pediatrician advice.
