What can I give my baby for constipation/ solid poop? She hasn’t pooped in 2 days and she just did a solid poop about the size of a nickel.

I’ve used gripe water and it works like a charm

The prune pouches, or apple juice works awesome :)

If she’s doing solids/purées, they say the 5 ps help! Pears, peaches, plums, prunes and pineapple! I usually give my daughter peaches and they help!!

P foods will definitely help. Not the juice but the actual fruits. You may also want to offer baby some water at meal time.
Thanks for the advice! I’ve been trying everyday at meal times to also get her to take water but she still doesn’t understand a straw.

was having same issue! my pedi told us watered down apple juice, pear juice, or prune juice

I always give prune juice with a little water and warm it a little and she will poop within 10-45 mins

Prune juice worked like a charm. Was diluting it and it wasn’t working until I gave 2oz of it in a bottle per dr recommended. Pears and peas worked too I noticed when I gave asparagus that helped as well. Stay away from bananas and sweet potato

Offering more water has made a huge difference for us.

I literally just went through this with my son last week! He didn’t poop for 4 days while I was waiting to get into the peds office, and I was giving him gripe water, over the counter constipation meds, etc. the peds said give him 2 oz half apple juice half prune juice twice a day and the next day he had 3 giant poops!! She also told me if that didn’t help that you can do an over the counter suppository

Pear juice or plum juice

Mommy's bliss constipation relief worked so well for us! I only gave half the dosage and he took 2 nice poops the next morning within 20 mins of eachother and felt so much better!
