I’ve stopped breast feeding my little one, how do you stop producing milk? What are the best ways to stop it?

Just do nothing.
My sister in law didn’t want to breast feed so as her milk came in she was told to leave her boobs alone. That includes no massaging/ nipple stimulation etc…. As these are all triggers to let down your milk and so produce more.
Apparently you get hard heavy boobs for a while but have to just put up with it.

I’m trying to do this, but they get so painful I’m trying to pump less and leave longer caps, my right breast has stopped making milk but my left gets so sore and tender I have to express for 2 mins just to ease the pain

Wear a tight bra and wear a bra in bed even a crop top. Dont start under the hot stream in the shower facing front. Apart from that just give it time it can take weeks so be patient.

Eek sounds awful. I’m breastfeeding (hard as but seems to be getting better) and remember day 5 when my milk came in my boobs were rock hard and very painful. I can only imagine that’s how they get when you stop.
I head a warm compress helps.
I suppose you can express a little and it should in theory slow down your supply if not doing all the feeds…. But it will still make you produce more to some extent. 🤷♀️

Try and gradually drop a pumping session. The doctor told me to hand express only, just a little until you are more comfortable. Cabbage leaves in your bra will really help and cold compresses as well (they no longer recommend heat as its encourages milk flow)
