I’m a SAHM my baby is 5 months tomorrow. This
Is my first time being a SAHM. I haven’t done any self-care and I feel like I can’t do any self-care. My fiancé works crazy hours that makes it to where I can’t have any self-care. One of his shifts start at 8 o’clock in the morning And he could get off at like 6:30pm but it takes him hours to get himself together. Like he will be in the restroom for an hour sitting on the toilet and then he’ll shower or he’ll eat when he comes in then go to the restroom and then shower. I feel like I’m trying to spend time with him and the baby but I haven’t spend any time with myself and I’m not sure how to divide this time so that I don’t feel so tired.
I really just want to sleep without being uninterrupted but that’s not working because the baby wakes up every 2 to 3 times to eat and I’m exclusively breast-feeding and I don’t have a stash for the babies to have a bottle in the middle of the night so I’m just tired and I don’t know what to do .

Could you pump even enough for one bottle then on a weekend your partner gets up with baby in the morning? Then you could get an extra few hours. That kept me going when i was ebf. Made such a difference x

He needs to help you on his days off. Let you have some rest when he bonds with your LO.
yeah I can do that ! That’s a good idea thank you !
exactly !! He knows I’m tired and he’s known from the beginning that I need space from the baby but nothing is changing

I agree with pumping as well. I pump twice a day, the dream feed and the first feed of the day. I wake up 30 mins before we wake up the baby to pump so my husband can give the baby a bottle. I take that time to shower, get ready and wash the pump. On the weekends my husband is with the baby while I go out for a bit between feeds. In the evenings my husband and I spend some time together after he puts the baby to bed.
Feel free to dm me if you want to know more about how we make it work
see im still not able to get up before the babies does because im still way to sleepy so that doesn’t work for me.

You can also pump before and put the bottle in the fridge and heat it up when the baby wakes. Having my husband help with bottle feeds was very freeing and helped my mental health a lot.
