Hi, I had my HV come to do 10-12 month check. My baby is 1 year but 10 months corrected, I weaned her off her corrected age as she was much more aligned to that than birth date. The HV told me I need to get her off bottles now and stop giving her formula straight away. I was a bit shocked by the advice I was going to reduce her milk but again based off her corrected. She was really not understanding and said we consider babies here on birth date and do not take in corrected (despite being under a dietician for a while at first). Anyway, I wondered how everyone went about this?

Ours is just over 2 (27 months) and is adjusted to 23 months as she was just over 16 weeks early. We always went by corrected (or adjusted age (whatever you know it by...same thing). Ours is still under the care of a consultant and will be until she starts school. The consultant will treat her by her adjusted age until she is 3 years old. Therefore we weaned at her adjusted age because her consultant said so.
We were lucky that our HV used to work in neonatal as a nurse so she understands, but some just don't.
Go with what is right for your baby. There is nothing wrong with going by adjusted/corrected age. Formula should be given until an age of 1 year so I would say another two months or so for your LO would be OK.
Oh and the bottle thing is rubbish. They say that for their teeth. Ours still has a bottle before bed as she finds it comforting and drinks from a water bottle with a straw for her water.
I hope that helps reassure you in some way. Like I say, do what's right for your baby.

My little one was only 6 weeks early but I weaned her from formula between 12-13 months. I think it depends on how confident your baby is doing with solids. Right at a year my baby wasn’t ready to be on only solids so I kept the bottles a couple weeks longer.

If your baby wants bottles please continue to give them. If your hv gives you any advice that you don’t think would suit your baby- it’s best to ignore it! HVs come out with a lot of shit.
