Anyone using a floor bed for their toddler? We are thinking of it at the moment as sleep is awful. My main worry is how easy she can get out of bed and it not waking us up. Obvs I will safety proof the hell out of her room but still worries me.

We aren't yet but in the process and moving house and going to use one.
One of the main reasons for a floor bed is so they can get in and out themselves. It gives them some control over things that they don't get a lot of the time. As long as you've said the room is safety proofed it should be all good.

My little girl is in a cot bed with a side rail on it she can get in and out on her own we had no choice as she was climbing over the top of the cot š.. we just safety proofed the bedroom she is in and put a gate at the top of the stairs and shut all the other doors and just leave ours open so she can come in

My daughter has been on a floor bed since 10 months and it was the best thing we did. She hated her cot as she didnāt have a lot of space to move around in her sleep, we donāt have that issue anymore and we like that she can communicate with us when sheās tired, ie getting into bed herself. Sheās slept through ever since x

We coslept so her floor bes is in our room. We put her to sleep in our bed and then move her to the floor. She wakes up at 7am. And if early she just wakes up and get up into our bed and continue sleeping.

We put our 19 month old into a low single bed about 6 weeks ago. She can climb in and out easily, and we safety proofed the room. She loves the independence. She still usually wakes 0-2 times a night, but so far hasn't gotten out of the bed, she just calls for us. She can open all our doors (we don't have stairs), so we just leave them open.

Thanks all! I think we are going to purchase. Does anyone else have a double one? Think we are gonna get that so I can lay with her to help her get too sleep. Any mattress recommendations?
