2.5- routine went out the window before Christmas, with illness after illness.
Now I'm struggling with her and I just can't cope; I need a routine back as much as she does. Everything is a constant battle with her. I mean everything. I can't break things down with her until I've got a routine.
Everything that could spiral out of control is already there.
What are your routines with your toddler please?

Currently battling bedtime routine!

We were the same! Bed time was just hell we dreaded it, I slept in his room for 2 months because otherwise he would be up every 5 minutes, or be in our bed! In Friday we started a star chart with a reward at the end and touch wood everything has gone so well he settled into it amazing! So we do dinner, bath, pjs, story and sleep x

Wasn’t sure whether you meant daily or nighttime but here’s our typical full day (when not at work):
Wake up about between 6-6.30am and play before breakfast at about 7.30am, earlier if he asks for it.
We get washed and dressed about 8am and then he plays or watches the iPad while I get showered and dressed. Then we either play/do crafts or go out to pass the time until lunch about 12 and then chill and wind down for nap time around 1pm. Wake up no later than 3pm, play until tea time at 5pm, then chill until bath at 6.30pm. Then he has milk, watches TV (I let him pick what he wants to watch) and then brush teeth and bed by 7.40pm. Go easy on yourself, it’s hard at times but it’s never forever, even though it feels like it at the time xx

Routine is hard. My boy liked structure and knowing what's next! I'm constantly one step ahead!
We get dressed on waking or he won't agree! Breakfast ASAP! He likes structure with meal times, when, where to sit and he helps move toys away before we eat. We've slowly built patterns into out day. Don't know if this helps at all

7-7:30: wake up
7-8: brush teeth, breakfast
8-10: play with toys self led
10-12: go out for a walk
12-1: lunch
1-3: tv time or quiet play time (depends if she’s been a bit bratty as tv can make her behaviour deteriorate… or if I need a break!) usually have a healthy snack at this point. Or ‘coffee club’ (warm milk and a bit of sweet treat) if I need it 😂
3-5: messy/active indoor play
5-6: plays with daddy after he comes home from work while I cook dinner
6-6:30: dinner
6:30: bathtime
6:45-7:15 ish: calming storytime in dim lights
7:15-7:30: bedtime
