My son rolled over on his stomach at night and i was shocked to see him asleep on his stomach. I didnt want to wake him up and roll him back on his back. So i left him sleeping. He knocked out almost the whole night. Is it okay for them to sleep on their stomach?

Can he turn both ways and is sleeping without swaddling?

yes! as long as his head is to the side so he can breathe then that should be fine. my son doesn’t roll on to his stomach but when i lay him on his stomach he sleeps a little better

The pros say if they roll over on their own then leave them.

Our pediatrician told us that as long as he can roll on his own and his face is to the side it’s not necessary to flip them back over and wake them. Our son has rolled over but hasn’t yet in his sleep so I can imagine I’ll be nervous too.

Yes you can leave him. If he did it himself he’s fine

this happened to me the other night and i panicked and flipped her over. haven’t been able to sleep at night since. i know they say it’s fine if they’re doing it themselves but im still nervous since stomach sleeping increases sids risk.
