My LO will be 6 months in two weeks and we are so not ready to start solids yet. When’s the longest we can wait to start?

I don't think that your have to start by any certain point 😂
I don’t know I just always assumed you NEED to start at 6 months for some reason 😂

6 month minimum but it’s okay even at 8 months. Honestly, they say when the baby starts grabbing for the food that you’re eating, they’re showing you that they’re ready. Just because they are starting solids. Also does not mean that they no longer require milk at all. Remember that they will still need milk as part of their daily intake. Here is a great book that really helped my husband and I, with everything from recipe, to storage, to instruments, to herbs, phases, and textures etc. we cooked once every two weeks and made enough for feedings to last that entire time, just freezing them in silicone trays that we got from Amazon. Super super easy. Highly recommend.

Also, they won’t be eating three meals with solids for a while, so try not to feel so stressed out about what to do and what to cook and having everything ready. The time will come and everything will most likely fall into place, one spoonful at a time! 🤗
Thank you so much!

You’re so welcome!

No rush! Wait till they show interest! My baby is 4 months and starting to show slight interest already

mine is showing interest just staring while we eat. But still isn't sitting up by herself I get nervous so I'm waiting a bit until she head more control.

@Allana
I don't blame you! It's not a rush. Definitely wait till you're comfortable. I've been just giving her tastes of things... I plan to wait until she can sit up better, too!

If you’re strictly BF, my pediatrician said they can technically go up to one year of just breast milk, you have make everything they need nutrition wise.

I was told not before 6 months and by 12 months (if breast feeding)
