anyone else feeling burnt out … I absolutely love my baby and spending everyday with them but just feeling really meh and finding everything really hard work. Maybe it’s the weather? Me dropping a BF or just my little girl being more active. Who knows. I’m due back to work in April and feel like im wasting my days .. 🙁 a lot of the mum friends I have made have already gone back to work and struggle to find things to do day to day. Maybe it’s just my mood

I felt like this before I went back to work, and I’ve found being back has helped me so much! I feel more rested and have more energy on my days off to do stuff with him.
Hopefully once the weather improves it will help you as well 🥰 x

I felt like this a few weeks ago and was quite overwhelmed but I think it was the combination of nearly a year being the sole carer for LO as well as some other life events going on just catching up with me. I seem to be out of the funk now. I think it’s only natural and we’ll go through phases like this from time to time. It’s hard work but so very worth it ❤️

I've felt like this for months and worst of all I was pretty much housebound as my youngest had a morning and afternoon nap and my eldest had a lunchtime nap so between the hours of half 10 and 4, someone was asleep in their cot. My little boy has just dropped to one nap and I'm managing to go out most mornings now to either a playgroup or soft play. I'm thinking or braving going to a coffee shop with them next week. Things definitely get better as they get older. The weather certainly helps too as it's still too wet at the moment to go to a play park/pic nic which is the easiest activities to do. I remember with my first we used to put the ball pit outside in the garden when it was sunny or just the pic nic blanket with a selection of toys and she would just crawl everywhere exploring too. Can't wait until I can do the same with my son. Need to get a new paddling pool for the summer too!

I could have written this post. I think the weather has a huge impact on this / on me anyway. I just cannot understand how anyone would plan a baby to be born in autumn/winter. It’s the most depressing time of the year. I also think a full year of being a ftm is coming to an end and with it a lot of reflection/looking back etc.

I felt very much like this earlier in the week- no energy or enthusiasm to do anything with my LO other than nap and I was so sad. Think it’s just a phase (and yes, the weather!) seeing the sun this weekend has made me feel so much better x
