Camping with baby under 1

We just got a trailer and I'm trying to figure out how to make the lower bunk a crib (its the corner style full bunk). I can't find baby gates that work and am looking for ideas. Right now I'm looking at getting a small pack and play with a lower zip entrance and using that, however I want to get a pop up playpen for outside too and we are trying to limit excess items/weight. Any ideas?

We only use a pack and play when we camp with our kid's.

I was just going to say pack n play! I have also brought my bassinet into the trailer as well

is it a pain to constantly put it away/move it for naps and bed? I was hoping for something that I won't have to constantly deal with

Honestly ours is really easy to do. We used to live in a 25ft travel trailer for 6 years with one.

Something with stick on velcro under the mattress and up the sides?

I'm in your same predicament!! We used a pack and play the first two years/camping seasons, and it was a pain in the ass (as you questioned, the taking up and putting down so it wasn't in the way).
We have a 35-foot gooseneck bunkhouse with one slide out, and the pack and play STILL was always in the way! Our daughter will be 2 this year/camping season, and I'm going to use a bedrail/guard we had for my SD on one of the lower bunks so she can't roll out!!
When we have our next baby, my husband will have to build something (like removable crib slats, depending on age) for the bottom bunks and a ladder to the top ones!

My husband put a smaller bed rail up on our bunk for a crib for baby, it worked very well. We got it off of Amazon, but made sure to measure the opening. He secured it with bolts to the structure of the camper and it has worked great. He also was able to mount ababy monitor near the bunk so we could check in on him regularly

unfortunately that's too big. Our bunks aren't straight and would need one smaller that that

Theres usually wooden sides for the top bunk, we used to create a cot on the bottom bunk by tucking them down the sides of the mattress.

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

I feel like just a milk cow

Hi I have a 16 day old via c section, I'm a FTM never having been around babies before as I am the youngest of my household and from a small family. My husband is fantastic with our little one. But ever since I've had the baby I just feel like the only thing I'm good for is producing milk. I feel disconnected from my husband like the only reason he's around is because am producing milk. We were having some issues before the baby and we're struggling it took a while to feel like he was onboard even though he said he was from the moment we found out. I dunno if I'm feeling like a spear part because I'm lacking confidence with baby or because I feel like he wouldn't mind being a single dad. Is this postpartum hormones or something else?

How long did it take for your child’s circumcision to heal and you could give him a bath?

I’ve just been wiping him down with a fiber wash cloth but I just wanted to know from others experience on how long it took

Guilt

Does anyone else feel guilty for every little thing they do? I feel like I need to be entertaining my little one at all times. If I have to put her in the activity center to finish a task, instant guilt. In the car for too long, instant guilt. Replying to work emails instead of interacting with her, instant guilt. I know independent play is good for her but my brain thinks otherwise. Please tell me it gets better, I’d love to shower for more than 10 minutes without it feeling like the world is going to collapse.
