Baby waking constantly in the night

My little One is 7 months and myself and my partner are soooo tired! He is waking up constantly throughout the night and really hard to settle we try bottles or cuddles and he just cries and so fidgety! We feel like shitty parents because most other kids sleep through the night and our little one just isn’t like what are we doing wrong!! We just want sleep!

Same here momma. We can't even manage to put him on his cot so been co-sleeping since birth. To say I'm exhausted is an understatement. You're definitely not alone 😢

My baby is 7 and a half months and till about 2 week ago was constantly waking to the night (for like a month he wake up every 1 hour sometimes even every half an hour). He was never a good sleeper but he would go for like 3 / 4 hours in his cot before the hard period started. Took him to the doctor to see if there is something wrong and after concluding he is fine medically, I was advised to try sleep training him. After reading a bit about sleep training we chosen a gentle method in which we stayed in the room while she was learning how to self settle. The first evening was hard but from from the second night we saw huge improvements. He now goes down to sleep in his cot very easily and sleeping about 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
If you haven’t considered sleep training, have a look to see if you could find a method that works for you and your baby. It helped us a lot. Hope this is helpful.

I’m the exact same boat. Transitioning him to cot and he’s awake multiple times. He’s never really slept since he was born and still nowhere near sleeping through, sometimes awake every 40 minutes sometimes every couple hours sleep deprivation is mad isn’t it. Does not make you shitty parents at all. You should be so proud of yourself. 🩷🩷 every baby is different and we will get there!! Keep strong xxx

did say the majority don’t not all don’t. X

My LO previously an okay sleeper now doing the same too! Wondering if it’s a developmental thing for their age atm 😫 also just seen that we live in the same area!!

Mine has always been a bad sleeper. I wouldn't say most babies sleep through. Like most things in life you're more likely to brag about something you find easy than moan about something that's hard, maybe you just hear more about babies sleeping through. We find she just goes through stages and me & my partner take it in turns. She's still in our room as I feel like she's still not ready for her own room and i'm not ready for walking up and down the landing all night 🫣 but definitely don't think you're bad parents or alone in this!

If baby can hold head up well and push up on arms you could try sleeping on the front/tummy only if you feel comfortable. I tried this and worked wonders she sleeps soo much better and has slept up to 8hrs some nights and before was waking every 3hrs. In the beginning I was terrified but my confidence built seeing her sit up on her arms and roll etc also I only use a sleeping back when sleeping on tummy and always clear cot etc.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.
