How are so many people lucky enough to get more than 2 hour stretches of sleep a night 😩 my boy wakes every 1-2 hours and always has done since he was born and he turned 4 months last week. Wondering when it will get better as not many people in the same boat as me it looks like. He is breastfed

We did a similar thing as the comment above, she would wake in the night (probs from the age of 12 weeks ish) but then not be fussed about eating, so we decided to drop a night feed, gradually she got used to not being fed in the night, now she goes down between 8pm-10pm, she sleeps through til 6am, has a bottle and then sleeps again til 8-9am. Although she’s starting to not be fussed about the first bottle in the morning so I might try dropping that one too soon! It’s a bit of trial and error. You didn’t mention if your LO was breast or bottle fed? Ours is bottle which makes a huge difference to how long she can sleep without eating. I think it’s still quite normal for some BF babies to need more feeds in the night. Every baby is different though. Good luck x

We are currently in the 4 month regression so waking every 2-3 hours (sometimes longer!), but before that it was 4-5 hour stretches which made all the difference. She's breastfed but when she wakes I offer her a dummy first and often like the comment above that works and she immediately drifts off again and doesn't need to be picked up or fed. When she was only waking once that was for a feed and nappy change, then back off to sleep.

@Helen thank you for you reply. Yes I do as he I don't know how else to settle him as he don't have a dummy ither. OK thank you maybe I just need to keep trying to settle without feeding. Yeah I try leaving him for a minuet but he doesn't stop crying so end up picking him up. See my boy won't even go down during the day he will only sleep in his baby carrier so contact naps so maybe that's another reason aswell but again don't know how to get him to fall asleep without me

@Molly oh see my boy will still feed every time he wakes. Sorry his breastfed. That's good! Can't wait for that day. Yeah I've heard bottle fed helps them sleep more. I'm hoping when we start solids in 2 months he will get better also. Thank you

@Kate oh wow how nice I've not had that once. And she's breastfed how do you do it.. oh see my lb doesn't have a dummy. So nice!

We only get 3 hour its hard

@Helen I did try but he wouldn't take a bottle keep spitting it out. No I did try with a dummy but again he just spits it out

I'm in the same position. I'm up every 2-3 hours in the night and also won't take a dummy and never has done 🙃 hoping it's just a phase!
