In Calgary it’s so dry and our baby has had consistent itchy cradle cap. It keeps him up at night! I’ve tried everything. Three different shampoos, oils and then shampoo, then just oils or Vaseline because it’s just so dry and itchy. Using just oils makes it just as dry but super crusty and yellow. I’ve seen three doctors and they didn’t even seem to know what to do. Any advice?

Same thing happened with my 6 month old son but I use Cool mist humidifier at night and I also apply castor oil to his hair once a week. All cradle cap is been gone now.

I used the hellobello shampoo and read that leaving oil on for too long makes it worse.

I use a cool mist humidifier in my LO’s room. I also apply coconut oil 3 times daily. I wash his scalp daily; I apply it 15 minutes before I wash his scalp and then after I dry his scalp; and then again at noon and before he sleeps, and then gently brush off the scales at each time, and it seems to have helped greatly

My baby had it too and her doctor just kept telling me to put coconut oil but it didn’t do anything and it just kept getting worse. I came across the fridababy flakefixer and it worked wonders! It’s disgusting but very satisfying! And I only had to do it 3x and it’s all gone. The first time I did it, I soaked her head with coconut oil for 30 mins before I used the fridababy just to soften it. Hope this helps!
