So my LO is one in December and we're planning on her starting nursery in January using the free 15 hours for 9 month old+.
The plan is for her to go to the nursery where my partners sister works in the baby room. Maybe I'm overthinking it but I'm questioning whether it will do her more harm than good going to nursery where a family member works? I'm worrying she'll be too focused on her aunt then mixing with other children. Thoughts please?

I feel like if they're doing a really good job in general, this shouldn't be a problem. They will know how and when to prioritise the babies. Also if I had someone working at nursery, I would 100% take my baby there, but this is only my opinion.

Slightly out of topic question but it really confuses me.. if my baby will be starting nursery in April 2025 (she will be 1 at that point) will I be able to use the 15hrs straight from April that start for 9m+ in September 2024? Thanks šš¼
@Iulia I think you're right. I think I'm just overthinking it š
@Claudia I believe so. If you look on the government website it should clarify it for you. Or speak to the nursery x

If your baby is 1 in December, it will be April they are eligible for the 15hr funding, not Jan.
@Thao if they are 1 between 1 September and 31st December they're eligible for the term starting first of January x

Oh yeh, contradicting myself there š¤£š¤£. I only remember mine as mine turns 2 in Jan.
