With my second c section (7 weeks ago) I had more pain, similar to what you’re describing, on my left side from day 3-10 or so. The midwives and obstetrician told me that one side often hurts more than the other, and it is often the side that the doctor was standing on during delivery

Might be some nerve damage. Monitor it and contact your GP if it doesn’t improve in a few days.

I had an abscess grow inside after a few days, It got to the point where pain relief wasn't enough, I couldn't walk, lie down, wear pants etc. after asking my GP and midwives loads of times I presented to the emergency maternity unit and I got a scan showing the abscess which they drained a few days later and gave me some antibiotics and more pain relief.

It may just be normal, especially since it's only been a week. The nerve ending are growing back together, and things inside the abdomen are shifting into place. Or maybe you stretched in your sleep and pulled something (i did that it was more sore for like 2 days) Def keep up on the ib profen and call the doc for their opinion if think you should, of course.

@Amelia I had mine 7 weeks ago and same lol my left side had more pains felt like random deep pinches

Thank you all!
I've taken some pain meds and the midwife checked it again today and said the incision seems to be healing really well but she said it could just be everything healing and getting tight.
