How to choose V or C birth?

i wanted a c-section so bad, but ended up with a vaginal delivery and thank God for that !
i was in the recovery bay of the c-section ladies because of lack of beds and i was the only one there that could walk or even get things from the table next to her without help!! a c-section is not “the easy way out”, it’s a major surgery and these ladies were crying and aching for days, while expected to also nurse and change a newborn. not how i imagined it at all .. natural really is best unless you have a medical indication. i did get epidural tho and i would NVR regret that. it made it much much much easier.

it’s your decision, but i genuinely think that vaginal is better. i was so worried about tearing and pelvic floor issues etc (and although those things can happen), your body was literally designed to birth the baby this way. and even if u had these things happen, they actually LARGELY resolve within the first 6m with physio. i was not a believer but i experienced it and saw what the c-section ladies were going through.
epidural tho. epidural all the way.
my pain was 1000/10 and the minute they put it in, i was making jokes and laughing with the nurses 😂😂 they told me it could prolong the last phase of delivery but i could care less. it didn’t in my case, but i would’ve happily spent 10hr with 3/10 contractions, rather than 3 hrs of 10000000/10.

Not happy with the care I’ve had so far and I’m an older mum so I’m not sure if that means C may be “safer”???

it really differs from person to person, so i would say to ask ur midwife.
(i’m assuming ur on the nhs, so they would probably push for vaginal 😂)
