My boyfriend's mom has not visited our babygirl often due to baby being sick, grandma then getting surgery and being unable to pick her up, etc. (15m baby girl) and now wants to pick her up 2pm and bring her back 6 the next day. I feel uneasy and want to agree to 10pm same day if anything but still feel like the worst mom ever if I let her go even for a while without me there. I'm so worried she won't be cared for correctly. Her dad isn't worried at all. We live with my family so we get more than enough help thankfully so I don't need a break. Advice? When did you leave your babies for a day?

If you’re not comfortable then don’t agree to it! It is completely up to you and what you think. Maybe build up to that length of time, if you want to!
It doesn’t really sound like there’s any need for that time away from you guys other than grandma asking for it?
Also does LO know grandma well enough to be with her for that long? Or will it just be unnecessary stress for her? How is she overnight as well? My lo is a nightmare without me there so wouldn’t put that on anyone or on him!
I left my lb at 14 mo for a wedding for 6 hours during the day. Prior to this I’d left him with my parents for an hour here or there xx

Mine was about 5-6 months when he first went for the night but they’ve gotten older with less mobility to deal with a 16months old now . I figured this would happen so that’s why I allowed him to go earlier on

If she hasn’t been around that much, then grandma will just be a stranger to the baby. Better to start slow with visits to her house so the baby can adjust to her before just dropping the baby off and being confused.

I don’t think it’s fair on baby anyway if baby isn’t very close/familiar with grandma, you’re idea of 10pm sounds more than reasonable! You don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with and your loved ones shouldn’t be pressuring you into anything, not saying they are but just in case x

My little boy had his first sleepover with my mam last night and he was 8 1/2 weeks

16 months old and still hasn't slept over. She and I both sleep better when she is a home in her bed.
