Nuby rapid cool sterilizing between feeds

No advice on batch making but the way I use it is the hotshot method to avoid sterilising every time, so fill it up to 8oz (this is how much he has), then straight away pour 2oz (still boiling) into the bottle leaving 6oz in the Nuby - add formula to boiling water and shake, then once the 6oz is cool add that and bottle is done, meaning formula never touches the Nuby and it’s just boiling water in there hence not sterilising every time x

Hello, we do exactly the same as Toni! We never put the formula inside the nuby.

We boil the kettle (or use boiling water from a flask) and fill up the amount we need using an empty bottle.

We then put a small amount of the boiling water into the lid of the bottle to keep aside as our hot shot.

The rest of the boiling water goes into the nuby rapid cool - we tend to tip it up and give it a shake and check it’s gone green on the top.

We then put the formula into the empty bottle and add the hot shot and give it a swirl.

Then we add the cooled boiled water into the bottle to finish.

It sounds complicated but honestly once you get into the swing of it, you can make it within 2 mins easily - I’ve only ever bottle fed and can do this at 4am with my eyes half shut 😂

Obviously I don't know how many Oz your baby is taking.but let's say they have 6oz...

Put 2oz of boiling water in bottle and add the formula powder... Then with the remaining Oz of water put in the Nudy rapid cool to cool down, and add to the bottle with formula in.

You only have to sterilise if you put formula in it each time, if it's just boiled water it should be ok to go a bit between x

Makes a lot of sense to do it that way, and hopefully I'll be able to catch up and make bottles in the night too 😁

My boy is feeding every 2hrs on the dot for weeks now 😅 so hopefully the Nuby will be cool enough between feeds instead of batch making🤞🏻

And then would you both get away with sterilizing once a day if you're only using hot water in it? Thanks!

Havnt bothered reading the other answers but the reasons you can’t reuse straight away is because the white cylinder itself absorbs the heat so you have to allow it to cool for it to be efficient! I have 2 of them so this is never an issue for me!

Yes I don't see why you'd need to sterilise more than once a day - at the end of the day it's only sterile boiled water going into it 🥰
