Nap help!

My boy is 15 weeks, he sleeps great at night, we had 6 days of no sleep due to the regression but he’s back sleeping 9 until 4/5, feed and then sleeps until 7:30.
However he is a terrible napper! If he is in the pushchair, carrier or car then he will sleep an infinite amount. But if I try and get him to nap at home, we get one sleep cycles worth, so around 30 mins. I put him in his nursery, black out blinds, sleeping bag, white noise, yet he will wake up after 30 mins without fail every time! It confuses me as he sleeps so well at night. Once he wakes after 30 mins I can’t get him back down unless it’s a contact nap.

Any advice or is this just a phase and he will grow out of it? I used to just let him contact nap but I’m really trying now to get him to nap independently.

Pic of the cheeky chap.

Just to say mine is identical. 9-5 and 6-8 at night, pram as long as the walk lasts, max 45min at home during the day. I just accepted my fate and hope as his schedule changes I will be able to get him to have one big nap at home mid day. But not sure when that is, maybe when he’s awake during walks

How do you settle him to sleep? At this stage babies are still learning how to independently connect sleep cycles, so when your little one wakes after his first cycle, he may need support to settle back to sleep in the same manner as you put him to sleep in the first place. I also notice my little girl wakes after 30 minutes if she’s gone down for a nap overtired. Do you follow wake windows? Xx

he falls asleep in his cot, I just pop his dummy in and stroke his nose. I try this when he wakes up, and rocking him etc but it doesn’t work he doesn’t go back to sleep. Yes we follow wake windows aswell, so who knows🤷🏼‍♀️

Mine second only did contact naps. I enjoyed it while I could since I know how fast it goes by. But it does get tiring.. have you tried a swing? I used to have to let them sleep on me and once I knew they were, I’d wait 20 minutes so they were in deep sleep and then I’d put them down

I had the same problem with my lil boy finally I tried playing his shows when I put him down for nap time since it helped before and it started helping again he would watch for a few minutes and then fall asleep and also there was a phase he went through when he was 5 months where he wouldnt take a nap unless i co naped with him.

Yeah similar issue for me with my one month old. I am thinking that less sleep during the day may be equating to more at night? Also think my little one sleeps a bit whilst feeding so gets micro naps that way and then doesn’t need as long a sleep during day afterwards. Trying to limit contact naps.

Sleeping bag

8 week old in sleeping bag for first time as big enough! Do you feed your child in the night whilst in the sleeping bag or taken them out, feed then transfer back to sleeping bag before putting down?

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
