Absolutely not- a happy mamma leads to a happy baby. Your mental well-being is important. If you are able to take time out for yourself while your baby is being safely looked after then do so. It helps you to not loose yourself and It also means baby gets some bonding time with people people like your support family. This is important as otherwise it’s a nightmare when baby /toddler won’t go to anyone but you. I wouldn’t be getting tipsy/drunk and I’d probably only plan drinks once a month if I had the chance etc, but catch ups with friends during the day at baby’s nap times- I’d do it as much as I could! Or even go to the gym or a walk baby free can really help.
