Breastfeeding question

So if I stop for 6 weeks can I restart back up again and get the same amount? I am just enougher. It’s for an externship and I don’t want my breastfeeding to get in the way of my only time to get the best results as an extern and hopefully get hired on. So if this is possible please let me know!

I think you would have to pump during that time in order to keep your body producing milk

Keep pumping if you just stop can be hurtful for your supply and painful for you

If you dont want to loose your milk supply you would need to pump whilst your away.

You have to keep pumping all the time. I got mastitis and multiple clogged ducts when I pumped less

Supply will drop if you don’t empty the breasts consistently. If you don’t want to pump at work you can still pump or nurse while at home, supply will still drop but you have to do what is best for your family. Best of luck to you!

so I could, stop but if I want to continue providing milk I’d just need to when I get off? Like is that okay? Do a full day of work without pumping then when I get home I continue to pump and nurse?

Your supply will drop loads if you don’t pump all day. Ideally you need to be pumping every time baby would be usually be feeding x

At only 3m, if you don't empty your breasts during the day, your supply will plummet (and you might end up with mastitis from having your boobs full, as well as pain). You could do it from around 9/10m....
Wasn't there a law passed where employer has to give you pump breaks?

You’d def have to pump

When I do working days I take my momcozy pumps and I pump without anyone even really noticing. Anything more then 4-5h without pumping or nursing will be painfull and day by day will decrease the milk supply. Hope that helps x

Yes it’s okay to pump/nurse only at home - your supply will drop significantly and you will likely need to supplement with formula/mostly feed formula, but that is okay. I continued to nurse my toddler at home long after I stopped pumping at work. If you want to continue exclusively breastfeeding, you’ll need to find a way to empty the breasts throughout the day - perhaps pumping to and from work and 1-2 times during work might fit your schedule

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Silver cross pushchair

Has anybody had experience with the sliver cross cove or breeze? Me and my partner can’t make an agreement 😅 I like the cove but is it worth the extra money to the breeze?
