Contractions?

I have been having sharp pains, like awful period cramps on and off today. I am so confused about what *real contractions are*, as some say its at the top of the bump, some say its at the bottom. These feel different to Braxton Hicks as they really bend me in half and often send me for number two (I am usually constipated, not anymore!). They are not regular, but every so often (maybe two every hour?) and last anywhere between 30s to 2mins.

Any thoughts?

So everyone’s experience with contractions are different i think. Im experiencing completely different contractions this time to my last pregnancy. My first child i barely got Braxton Hicks but when i did they were just sharp shooting pains or light cramping. I knew i was in labour when all the pain was in my lower back and i couldn’t sit straight nor stand, it was agony. Lasted for 60 seconds and they were 2/3 mins apart i also lost my mucus plug beforehand.
Im now nearly 39 weeks with my second baby and im experiencing every contraction feeling everyday i can think off😭 lower back, cramps, stomach tightening, shooting pains down below, muscle pain. Everything. But nothing is close enough for me to say im in labour yet. I would say you will definitely know when your in labour its kinda one of those things where your body just tells you. Xx

They can all be different this is my 4th baby and they have been different every time but trust me when they are proper contractions you know, you can’t talk through them as they take your breath away xxxxx

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
