Feel like we’ve hit the terrible two’s early. We are visiting family this week. Although we don’t visit often, she is familiar with everyone through facetime calls (she can point to and name each of the 6 “new” people here) and regularly interacts with them on the phone. When we’ve visited before, she has gone to and played with everyone. This time, she is super clingy towards me. She is saying “no!” to everything and everyone. She’s pulling my hair a lot and scratching mine and her dad’s face. She’s refusing most of her food by chucking it away. She’s throwing toys and books at her cousins when they try to play with her. Usually, she is quite independent for a 1 year old - happy to play and explore when we’ve gone to baby groups. We’ve never had a problem dropping her off to nursery (been going to nursery since 9 months). She goes off to play without so much as a backwards glance. She just seems to be screaming and having tantrums all the time this week. It is exhausting. What is going on?!

My little boy is the same 🙋🏽♀️ im honestly just rolling with it as best as I can, if he needs me then he needs me there’s nothing I can do to change it. My little boy is running away from his dad crying so I feel bad for that but he’s veryyy clingy to me.
We’re going home to see family next week for a baby shower, I’m somewhat nervous because of how he is at the moment but equally he doesn’t know everyone very well so it’s to be expected. I also don’t expect him to engage with family if he doesn’t want to do if I need to sit in the corner with him, I will 😂 x
