Energy

Just over two weeks until my scheduled c section, my last day at work was yesterday, my energy is well and truly gone, but now I feel useless, I know things around the house need doing but I cannot find the energy, physically or mentally to do them. I've got other things planned too for the next week or so which again, I dont know if I have the energy for but I don't want to be a let down and cancel. I cried yesterday as I felt so useless as I said that I'd go bowling with my partner and I ended up saying no. Back and rib pain have also played a part in this and (bit tmi) a singular really painful pile that (I've spoken to my Midwife about it and it is normal, considering where it is positioned). Any tips on how to snap out of this haze, as I feel like if I put mind over matter or at least get my mental energy back I'll feel like I'll be able to accomplish at least the bare minimum of what needs doing instead of just feeling completely useless.

Take a couple of days to relax, do nothing and catch up on rest. I felt the same just after leaving work last week but now I’m way more refreshed and motivated, despite not actually having much more sleep - I think continuing work while heavily pregnant is a level of mental load/stress that you just don’t realise. Hopefully by the end of the week you will be feeling happier and able to do some of the social things you have organised

@Charlotte thank you, I'll definitely try to, hopefully I get some energy back soon, want to do as much as possible before little one is here. Working this long definitely was a different kind of strain I didn't think would happen, least I know for next time 😅 x

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
