Looking for Advice on sleep

Hi ladies I’m looking for some advice my 1 year old was born 8 weeks premature ( not sure if it has something to do with it ) but my 1 year old will not sleep through the night and will wake up multiple times. Not sure what I can do to get him to sleep through. I’m due my 3rd baby in December so preferably would like him to be sleeping through before baby is here. Never had this problem with my 1st

Did you sleep train? How are you putting them to sleep? Are you I breastfeeding or bottle feeding to sleep?

Every baby is different, some won't sleep through the night until they're much much older- some will suggest sleep training, but the research into the psychological effects isn't very nice, so that would be your call! I reduced the amount of time my little one naps for so he's more tired at night but he still wakes 2/3 times and apparently that's very normal still and he's 15 months. Good luck! Xx

My son has nights with a waking here and there now and was a horrible sleeper but his sleep got progressively better since he was about 10 months and started sleeping in his own room, using a duvet and limiting his naps to 2h total and leaving a longer awake window between last nap and bedtime. Also as he started eating more. I didn't really sleep train, I still cuddle him to sleep but he can self sooth in the night unless he has some discomfort. I don't know if anything we've done helps or if it's just that he developed that way. My son was 2 weeks overdue and we still had awful sleep for 10 months and never ever slept through until he turned 1.

Sleeping through the night is developmental unfortunately and it’s completely normal for toddlers to still wake. Some people sleep train so that when they wake they don’t call out but studies show that they will still wake, even adults don’t always sleep through the night. My daughter’s sleep has got much better since she turned one and we switched to one nap 11-1. I usually find that the more exercise and time outside she gets the better she will sleep but she does usually still wake once in the night for a quick feed

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

I bloody hate reflux!

How much milk would you say this is?( after a 6oz bottle) My 3 month old is bunged up, full of yet another cold and it's made her reflux worse.

She's already on gaviscon but that's the most shes ever spat up in one go. She's also been teething for the last few weeks too 🙄
