LG is 6 months old now. Previously a really good sleeper, transitioned into her own room really easily at 5.5 months. Bed time 6 30/7ish, wake for a feed at 10 30, usually wakes around 3-4 for a feed then wakes up at 6.30/7am. Occasionally slept through the night but this has never really been a goal for me. She could self soothe to sleep although rarely needed to, often woke in the night and just got herself back to sleep.
The last 2 weeks have been awful, wakes the second I transfer her into the cot, waking every 30 minutes over night, not going down for naps, taking over an hour to get to sleep at night (previously was very quick). Last night she woke up at 2.30 and then every 30 minutes until 5 30 when she fully woke up, chatty, wanting to play. I've tried everything, picking her up and cuddling, bringing her back to our bed, leaving her to cry (something I don't like doing)
I don't want to co-sleep for many reasons but mainly because we have 2 cats who sleep on the bed. The last 2 nights I've given in so we can just get some sleep and had to shut the cats out (who then meow and scratch and keep me up anyway).
Partner is very pro sleep training but I don't feel it's something I can do. I tried for a short period the other day and just sat and cried for 10 minutes then went and got her anyway. Prior to this she had a cold and was up alot at night with a blocked nose which didnt help.
I think this is all developmental, she's started eating, sitting, more chatty. I feel like I'm doing something wrong but don't know what to change/should I change anything? I feel like it will settle down but worried I'm missing the boat to sort it out now, if I do need to be actively doing anything.
Sorry for the ramble, I'm very tired! Any advice? Anyone going through this/gone through it and can give some encouraging words? I'm trying to keep her routine normal in the day and not let her nap loads but then she is perpetually tired? I just don't know what the right thing to do is.

Heya! I’m experiencing this with my 6 month old at the moment! Also seen a lot of other posts like this for 6/7 month olds. I think it’s is phase/6month regression!growth spurt maybe? My little girl has been like this for just over two weeks and she’s just starting to do 3/4 hour stretches Again so it will It return to normal you just have to ride the wave. 💗

If baby is waking very early have you tried making bedtime later? Not every baby is capable or needs 12 hours overnight so you might find tweaking bedtime a bit later will get you a later wake time.
Also vital she doesn’t get overtired as this negatively affects night time sleep as the stress hormone builds and causes frequent waking as a result x
