My little guy who's 11 weeks old will not sleep in the car and cries until he can't breath 😭 sitting in the back with him can help briefly but it gets to a point where we end up pulling over to settle him and the cycle repeats.
It's making me avoid any trip longer than 20 mins.
Have you experienced this with your babies? When did things improve? Do you have any tips?

Mine would be so bad that I would google “am I traumatizing my baby in the car” 😂 (answer is no) but after like 3.5 months she got better. Best tip is try to make sure he is fed and had slept beforehand. I used to say “I’ll feed her when I’m home” but it would always backfire

yes! I've been worrying that it's going to cause emotional damage and harm our attachment since I'm not able to immediately pick him up and soothe him 🥲
The last trip he cried and looked at me with the most pleading eyes and by the end of it he wasn't looking at me anymore 😭

Baby is 5 months and still hates it! Think some babies just aren’t a fan c I’ve learnt to be tactical though as the above poster said always make sure he’s full before we set off and I try and time it for 10 mins or so before he’s due a nap and then he doses off eventually. I avoid long journeys like the plague he never sleeps more than around 30 mins in the car so try to limit journeys to under 40 for my own sanity 😅 hopefully your baby will grow out of it though! Lots do x
