it can be normal up to 7 days unless they’re showing signs of constipation 🤍

My pediatrician said 5-7 days especially if they’re on breast milk they can go a longer time until popping

My breastfed baby has gone up to 12 days between poops. Most of the time she ranges from 4-8 days, with a couple of 9’s and 10’s sprinkled in. The first time she went 10 days we took her in to the doc. She was surprised it had been so long, but checked her and said everything was normal but to bring her back in at 14 days. She went on day 12. We have gotten used to this as normal for her.

If he isn’t struggling, I wouldn’t worry too much, but if it’s out of the norm for him, he seems fussy, and appears to be struggling, you could check and see if he’s constipated, especially if he’s recently started solids.

my dr also said this was normal till I took her to ER for 2nd opinion idk what about it even sounds normal though bc if it’s not coming out then where is it going. My baby is now being referred out to a GI cause as they get older and this continues it’s clearly an issue cause again where is it going and when so much is backing up it can eventually cause a blockage then making it hard for them to poop and start to struggle.

interesting. I personally don’t have concerns as it never causes her to be upset or have any issues. I do know breastmilk is absorbed better and creates less waste than formula. Also, my little girl has grown REALLY fast. I assume as her intestines have grown, it has created more space for the waste to process through. She HAS been pooping a little more towards the 4-5 day mark for the last two weeks. But still, that is fairly infrequently.

Thanks everyone!
He went this morning at like 8am.,, just once.,, maybe he is transitioning to once a day? We have not started solids yet.

How many months is she ? My doctor said to give my 4 month old pure prune juice i got mine at whole foods for every month give them and oz mixed with there milk in a bottle or alone. So ive they eat 4 oz make the 4 plus an oz is what i did to equal the amount throughout the day. Or you can give the 4 oz just straight. The natural sugar pulls water into the poop so its a natural form of a laxative and safe
My son poops every 5 days normally

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Silver cross pushchair

Has anybody had experience with the sliver cross cove or breeze? Me and my partner can’t make an agreement 😅 I like the cove but is it worth the extra money to the breeze?
